The Cooperative
In 2007 the association became a mutual aid cooperative, changing its premises at the same time and moving to the current Kampill Center in Via Innsbruck - Bolzano.
The Cooperative broadened the operative horizons of the centre in a significant way, developing a series of parallel activities with training, again associated with the world of glass.
Note that Vetroricerca is not one of those European production centres based in locations historically associated with glass. Vetroricerca is a training centre that has made research and experimentation the object of professional development, based on tradition and knowledge acquired, concentrating on the innovative potential that has characterised and continues to characterize glass craftwork and industrial production.
The emphasis on craft and industrial activities, the culture of learning so cherished in the area, the presence of professional training centres, specific apprenticeship courses, master craftsman qualification and training courses aimed at relaunching workers in the sector, justify the presence in Alto Adige of Vetroricerca - a centre of excellence – regardless of the fact of whether the area is a traditional glassworking area or not.
